Following disappointing results for Olympique Lyonnais, the club’s owner, John Textor, held scheduled discussions with coach Fabio Grosso on Wednesday, resulting in Grosso being suspended.

According to information from L’Equipe on Thursday, the Italian coach has been suspended by the American businessman. While waiting to find a new coach, the current head of the youth academy, Pierre Sage, has been chosen to serve as interim coach.

According to RMC, three names are circulating as potential successors to Grosso: Bruno Genesio, who has been free since his recent departure from Rennes, as well as Jorge Sampaoli and Igor Tudor, both former coaches of Marseille who are familiar with David Friio, the future sporting director of OL.

These developments suggest significant changes are on the horizon for the current 18th-placed team in Ligue 1.
