The pro-Valencia daily newspaper has mocked Real Madrid player Vinicius by comparing him to Pinocchio.

FC Valencia has responded to allegations made by Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior regarding racist insults he claimed to have suffered at Mestalla in May. The Valencia club expressed its dissatisfaction with Vinicius’ claims during that match.

The local newspaper Super Deporte has taken a critical stance against Vinicius by nicknaming him “Pinochius,” a reference to the Pinocchio character whose nose grows longer when he lies.

The newspaper accuses Vinicius of admitting to provoking the stands but lying in court by accusing the entire stadium of uttering racist insults.

As a reminder, Vinicius Junior was questioned by a Madrid court as part of an investigation into allegations of “hate crime” related to this incident at Mestalla.
