Neymar’s residence in Mangaratiba, Brazil, is once again making headlines as the Brazilian player’s camp launches a counterattack.
Neymar has faced accusations from authorities regarding multiple infractions during the construction of an artificial lake on his property. He was fined €3 million in connection with this case, and his father, Neymar Sr, was detained by the police.
According to UOL Esporte, Neymar’s camp has decided to counterattack. In a dispute with the Mangaratiba municipality over work done on his pool, Neymar has requested that the municipality completely retract its involvement in the matter.
“We demand that the municipality’s representatives publicly retract themselves, clarifying the facts in the same way they made the operation public on their personal social network,” Neymar’s defense stated.
Neymar’s camp alleges that the media coverage of the case has inflated the fines and that there is no solid evidence against him, attributing the situation to his fame and media attention.
