Eden Hazard recently took part in a charity match with the Variétés Club de France in support of the “Pièces Jaunes” association.

In an interview with La Voix du Nord, the former Real Madrid player shared his thoughts on his new life. Even five months after his last professional match, Eden Hazard isn’t feeling the void of missing football just yet.

“For now, no, I’m happy with what I’m doing at the moment, taking some time for myself. I will miss football, of course, because it’s what I’ve done my whole life. But I’m content, I watch it on TV. My kids play football, so I won’t be too far away,” said the Belgian.

“It’s never easy to make a decision like this,” replied the former Lille player. “I had thought about it for a while already, so it’s much simpler. I have so many things to do outside of football that the decision was made more easily. I have people around me who are aware of this, and that’s why I made this decision.”
