Eden Hazard opened up to John Obi Mikel on his podcast, expressing his dislike for Erling Haaland’s style of play.

The Manchester City cyborg doesn’t appeal to Eden Hazard. The former Chelsea and Real Madrid player insists he doesn’t enjoy watching Erling Haaland on the field.

“I don’t watch football for Erling Haaland, but for players like Bernardo Silva, Kevin De Bruyne, Jude Bellingham, Jack Grealish…,” he remarked on the podcast.

A few days ago, Cristiano Ronaldo criticized Ligue 1 almost without reason. These comments didn’t sit well with Eden Hazard, who had a successful stint at Lille. “I don’t agree with him, but it’s just an opinion. The fact is, if you look at the Saudi Arabian league today, there are great players. But they aren’t part of great teams,” he defended, emphasizing the strength of Ligue 1.

“In France, there may be fewer star players, but they form more of a team. I’m sure if a Ligue 1 team plays against a team from Saudi Arabia, they will win. Maybe not as easily as people think, but I believe so. The level in France is good. I watch the French league, and they have talent, they have young players, they can play football. Paris is a city with a lot of potential. The level is there,” Hazard continued, highlighting the quality of French football.
