Kylian Mbappé will leave PSG, that’s certain now, but for the official announcement of his departure, we’ll have to wait.
Mbappé will be a Real Madrid player next July. The end of his contract with PSG is set for June 30th. Right in the middle of the Euro. Meanwhile, PSG doesn’t plan to make any official statements. According to Fabrizio Romano, Paris will make a formal communication on the matter as soon as he signs his contract with Real Madrid.
Kylian Mbappé will also break his silence at that time. It’s reasonable to assume that these communications will take place as soon as PSG is no longer involved in the Champions League. So, it all depends on the club’s performance this season in the competition.
According to El Chiringuito, Kylian Mbappé wants to be presented to the Madrid public before Euro 2024, which means before June 14th. However, at that date, he will still be under contract with PSG (his contract runs until June 30, 2024). Therefore, agreement will be needed from PSG… but also from the French national team, as Mbappé will be in the Euro preparation camp.
According to L’Équipe, Kylian Mbappé will receive an annual gross salary between 30 and 35 million euros at Madrid, as well as a signing bonus between 100 and 130 million euros. And that’s not counting the income from his image rights.
