The German Football Federation has chosen Julian Nagelsmann as the new head coach to replace Hans-Dieter Flick.

This change in leadership comes as no surprise. Former RB Leipzig and Bayern Munich coach Julian Nagelsmann, who has been without a position since his departure from Bayern, will now lead the German national team until Euro 2024, which will be held in Germany.

Julian Nagelsmann has agreed to work with the German Football Federation until Euro 2024 in Germany. To do so, he terminated his contract with Bayern Munich, even though he was still under contract until June 2026 despite his dismissal.

Nagelsmann has also accepted a substantial financial offer for this opportunity. His salary is estimated to be around 400,000 euros per month. At Bayern, he could have earned up to 550,000 euros per month, which would have allowed him to earn nearly 20 million euros until the end of his contract.
