José Mourinho, the coach of Roma, expressed his disappointment with Renato Sanches’ new muscle injury despite his team’s victory over Sheriff Tiraspol (2-1) in the Europa League.

Mourinho had made a bet with Renato Sanches, and it didn’t pay off. The player, loaned from PSG to Roma, has suffered yet another injury.

The Special One expressed his bewilderment at Renato Sanches’ struggles to string together consecutive matches.

“Renato Sanches needs to play. Unfortunately, Renato is like that, he’s always under threat. He’s a great player that we find hard to understand. Bayern Munich couldn’t figure it out, and neither could PSG. In the last game, he played for 45 minutes and looked good. Today, he was fully ready, but during the match, he felt something and had to stop,” explained the Portuguese coach to Sky Sport.
