Jose Mourinho, the manager of AS Roma, has faced a challenging start to the 2023/2024 season, with the team currently sitting in eleventh place in the standings. This situation has led to criticism from fans. Despite receiving attractive offers during the summer transfer window, Mourinho chose to stay with AS Roma.

Mourinho addressed the change in perception and the criticism he has received, stating, “Three months ago, I was loved. There was panic just at the mention of my farewell. Today, because we had a horrible start to the season in the league, I am being questioned. But it’s not a problem.”

He also emphasized his commitment to his current role, saying, “You keep talking about the future, but I don’t have to talk about the future. My future is the agreement I signed with Roma until June 30 (2024), and it’s serious for me. I don’t have to talk to the owners; a coach must respect them and make no comments.”

Mourinho expressed his dedication to his work, saying, “I am happy for them as well, of course, because they want to win matches and were upset about the result in Genoa. I work for them, I work for the Roma fans, and for the players. When we succeed, I am happy.”

Despite the challenges, Mourinho remains committed to his role as the manager of AS Roma.
