Lionel Messi, at the age of 36, does not plan to return to FC Barcelona in the coming weeks.
Lionel Messi is enjoying a relaxing three-month vacation. While FC Barcelona attempted to offer a loan deal to the Argentine forward during the North American league’s winter break, Messi has no intention of playing during this period.
“I’m going to make the most of my vacation in Argentina,” stated the World Cup champion, as reported by L’Equipe.
“This is the first time I’ll have so many days off in December, with vacations and peace of mind. In January, I will return to Miami to begin pre-season training, start from scratch, and prepare as best as I can, as always.”
