FC Barcelona is considering terminating Robert Lewandowski’s contract at the end of the season due to a clause related to his participation in matches.

According to Sport, the German player could see his contract terminated. A clause allows for this action. If Lewandowski does not start or play more than 45 minutes per match in over 55% of the season’s matches, the club has the option to terminate the contract with a severance payment of several million euros.

Robert Lewandowski has faced criticism at Barcelona since his arrival, and his high salary could be a factor pushing the club to part ways with him to save costs.
