In a recent announcement, Angel Di Maria, aged 35, with 134 international caps and 29 goals for the Argentine national team, revealed his plan to retire from international football after the Copa America next summer.

Having represented Argentina for over 15 years, Di Maria reached the pinnacle of his career by winning the World Cup in December last year. During his tenure, he also played for PSG from 2015 to 2022.

Di Maria stated, “I will depart the Argentine national team after the Copa America; it’s the end for me.” Notably, the 48th edition of the Copa America is scheduled to take place in the United States from June 20 to July 16, 2024. During this tournament, Di Maria and Argentina will aim to defend their title.
