Christophe Galtier, former coach of Paris Saint-Germain and currently in charge in Qatar, is on AC Milan’s list to replace Stefano Pioli next season.

Under contract with Al-Duhail SC until June 2025, Christophe Galtier could make his return to Europe very soon. Olympique de Marseille is also considering him for next season, but AC Milan is also in the mix.

Christophe Galtier has a significant advantage: he speaks Italian and already knows some players in the squad, like Mike Maignan and Rafael Leao, whom he encountered at Lille. He also has a close relationship with Théo Hernandez’s family.

Furthermore, his relationship with Zlatan Ibrahimovic could work in his favor, especially after the latter’s appointment as a senior advisor to AC Milan’s ownership and management by RedBird, the club’s majority shareholder, last December. A meeting is scheduled next week to discuss this possibility, according to L’Equipe.
