Lionel Messi recently played his final match of the MLS regular season with Inter Miami.
Unfortunately, his team did not manage to qualify for the playoffs. After his first few months in the United States, Messi reflected on his experience with Inter Miami.
“I am proud of everything the team achieved this season. Thanks to the hard work and efforts of everyone, we won the Leagues Cup, the club’s first-ever title, reached the Open Cup final (a 1-2 loss to Houston, with me sidelined due to injury), and fought for a playoff spot right up until the last moment.”
“We will hold onto all the positive aspects and, above all, the desire to improve to be even more competitive next year. I would like to thank all the people at the club and in the city of Miami for the support they have always given us.”
“I am confident that we will continue to experience incredible moments together, much like the ones we’ve shared in recent months,” said the former Barcelona player on social media. Not a word about PSG, of course.
