Romelu Lukaku is facing the ire of Inter Milan fans as well as the club’s management. Over the past few weeks, club leaders have not held back their criticism of their former striker, who disappointed them by seeking a transfer to Juventus Turin.
“There was a lack of education and respect. At a certain point, they were absent. Sometimes, transfers may not happen, but there is a willingness to communicate face to face. There is no problem,” said Inter Milan executive Piero Ausilio in an interview with Radio TV Serie A.
“But when a player doesn’t answer your calls or responds through intermediaries, you feel it’s time to move on. The Lukaku chapter has been closed since July 8, I still remember the date. After several attempts, I finally managed to reach him. The call was brief, and I told him everything I thought. Romelu Lukaku was now part of the past.”
