During a match between Brazil and Venezuela, Neymar became the target of a popcorn attack.
A spectator at the end of the match threw a box of popcorn that landed on the head of the former Barcelona player. Neymar reacted strongly and was held back by his teammates.
Neymar commented on the incident: “It’s very sad, I didn’t come here on vacation, I came to do what I love the most, which is playing football and representing my country.” He added, “This supporter threw… I didn’t even see what it was; I only saw it when it hit me. I became very nervous. I condemn this kind of behavior; you shouldn’t do it.”
