Kevin De Bruyne has been absent for nearly four months due to a serious hamstring injury.

Kevin De Bruyne is being cautious, or perhaps undecided, or maybe a bit of both. The Manchester City midfielder has not yet determined the date of his return to competitive play. He is determined not to rush his comeback to avoid any risk of a relapse after his extensive surgery.

“The medical staff at Manchester City is in daily contact with the surgeon who operated on me in Belgium. They will come next week to see how the injury is progressing because I have an important scan,” he says.

“As for my return, there are only scenarios. I haven’t been given a return date because it’s very important that this injury is completely healed before I make my return to the field. For the first time, I have a period in which I can think about how I should evolve to maintain my level,” the Belgian stated in an interview with RTBF.
