Paris Saint-Germain is closely monitoring Swedish striker Victor Gyökeres, currently playing for Sporting CP. However, the competition for his signature is intense.
Gyökeres, a 25-year-old forward under contract with Sporting until 2028, has captured attention with his impressive performances, consistently contributing goals and assists. PSG is among the top clubs interested in him, alongside two Premier League teams, according to CaughtOffside.
After experiencing offensive difficulties in the Champions League, the prospect of signing Victor Gyökeres has resurfaced. While PSG remains interested, Sporting CP is reportedly demanding €100 million for their player, complicating negotiations as noted by journalist Ekrem Konur.
Gyökeres at PSG Next Summer?
However, Le Parisien indicates that coach Luis Enrique has not approved this option. Although Gyökeres was considered, the Spanish manager seems content with Gonçalo Ramos, whom he views as the ideal “number 9” for his project in Paris. As for Kolo Muani, Luis Enrique believes he has yet to reach the technical level of his teammates.
“Gyökeres is likely to leave next summer, and sources suggest that Chelsea, Tottenham, and PSG are currently the main contenders. The sentiment is that Tottenham has shown the most interest, while Chelsea may also make another attempt for Victor Osimhen in January or next summer. Meanwhile, PSG admires Gyökeres, but any move would depend on whether they choose to part ways with Gonçalo Ramos or Randal Kolo Muani by the end of the season, which remains uncertain,” CaughtOffside reports.
